Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) is a healthcare profession that focuses on helping individuals of all ages to engage in everyday activities, or “occupations,” that are meaningful and purposeful to them. These activities may include self-care tasks, work, school, leisure, and social participation.
Occupational therapists (OTs) work with people who have physical, cognitive, sensory, or emotional challenges that impact their ability to perform these activities independently and effectively. The goal of occupational therapy is to help individuals achieve or regain the highest level of independence and quality of life possible.
